Wife Killer With No Remorse

On May 14, 1989, police received a call from a 5-year-old child telling them that his mother was stabbed. Police responded to the home and found the victim, Cheryl Mintlow, lying on the ground. She had been stabbed 44 times. The child was in the room when the offense occurred and was able to tell police that his father, Jimmy Mintlow, committed the crime. Mintlow and Chery had been married for 6 years.

Immediately after the murder, Mintlow went out for a meal. Mintlow then went on the run and was caught and arrested in Cincinnati, Ohio. After his arrest, Mintlow told authorities he killed his wife over a dispute on how to raise their son. Mintlow pled guilty to murder on November 27, 1989, and was sentenced to life in prison.

The Parole Board last heard Mintlow in March 2009, and he still refused to accept the fact that his wife was dead and/or that he caused her death.

No Parole

Based on the brutal and sadistic nature of Jimmy Mintlow’s offense, and the fact he still takes absolutely no responsibility for his actions, we believe that, to further the interests of justice and to protect society, Jimmy Mintlow should serve his maximum sentence of LIFE in prison.
